The day my car broke down I was pretty bummed out. So my roommate helped cheer me up by having an impromptu photoshoot in my room. Then her boyfriend Eligiah (he's such a good sport) came over and we pulled him into the mix. Haha, my friends RULE!

Bunnys and Kids!

Just got back from a photoshoot with DividingMe in Greensboro, NC. He and his wife are two amazing people and am so glad to have met them and their cute kids. I also got to hold a live rabbit. It was a six hour drive today up and back but totally worth it. We knocked out at least three different looks and I believe these will be some of the most edgy pics I've done yet. One of the concepts we touched on was inspired by my latest obsession with sleep paralysis which I've experienced almost everytime I nap on my couch when most people, if at all, only experience it once or twice in a lifetime. I researched and found this painting above called "The Nightmare" which dates back to the 1700's. In old folklore, people blamed sleep paralysis on having a demon sitting on your chest while you sleep. Some people also believed it's when they were abducted by aliens. I just figured I couldn't get up and would see crazy things going on in the house around me like my dog running across the mantel of my fireplace. I would think, hmmm, I should get up so I can get the dog off of the mantel but I can't get up. The only time I panic is when I feel I'm in danger and that's when it really sucks because I can't move. One time my pillow fell over my face and I felt like I was suffocating but couldn't lift my arm to remove it. Another time I was on the couch in my under roos with all of the windows open and in my "dream state" saw the lawn guy walking around in the yard and I couldn't get up to put clothes on. He wasn't really there mind you, but it was annoying nonetheless. I'm learning to control it and sometimes enjoy knowing it's going to happen whenever I'm laying on the couch and getting tired. I've also never had it happen while someone was in the house. I'm always alone. Either way, it's cool shit to me and we did our own softer version of this amazing painting.

I drove back after a long day up a curvy mountain covered in dark fog and light rain while being exhaustedly tired...so I put on Converge and blasted it as if the band was in my back seat. Rolled the windows down and hung my hand out. Then, I fell in love with song #13 on Axe to Fall and finally made it home in a daze of loud guitars.

What a day.
Oh, and one more thing. Don't let anyone tell you different, I am a TOTAL weirdo and that's just how I like it. I shot some footage of me on the way to the shoot while driving. Don't worry...notice I only take my eyes off the road for a split second. I am an extremely cautious driver...ehem. Also, my hair is in rollers which explains the doo-rag. Got the windows down trying to "naturally blow dry" my curls. Haha! I'm so WEIRD.

Just when I thought I was on track...

I left job #1 today at the mall...knocked out some make up on some faces...and before heading to job #2, I decided I needed the new Dead Weather CD which prompted me to drive less then half a mile to Best Buy. Came back out, put the cd in and turned the key...nothing. If this shit costs me all of the money I saved to go to Portland, I will officially lose my FUCKING mind. I will find out tomorrow on my lunch break between another day of doubles. I may just say screw it all and go. Fuck saving money the "right way" I will show up with $500 and make it work.
